I see Patterns in Things
I am a visual artist based out of Amherstburg, Ontario (via Montreal, QC), working in both traditional and digital media. Sometimes abstract, sometimes surreal, and usually unusual.
My style is born out of experimentation and exploration in various media and styles of art, as well as influenced by my diverse cultural ties and life experience.
I thrive on solving puzzles, and creating order and meaning out of chaos, so spontaneous freeform followed by excessive details and textures are my fascination. I often start off very fluid and expressive, prefering to allow the pigments and canvas to guide me on the meaningful direction of a piece; then I slowly refine it down like a sculpture, accentuating forms, patterns, and pulling out the stories that emerge for all to see. I create pieces which I like to think of as constantly shapeshifting, adapting, evolving, or morphing to suit or take on characteristics of their individual environments. The idea that a viewer can tap into their own creativity and see things in my work that I had not is most intruiging to me.
Thank you for your interest in my work! Let me know if you have any questions or want to collaborate with me!
